Each year, Oak Ridges Hospice welcomes families and loved ones of our past residents to gather for a special evening of reflection and remembrance. The Memorial Tree Event offers a gentle and meaningful way to honour those we’ve lost while finding comfort in community. Together, we share stories, light candles, and celebrate the love and connection that continue to live on.

Join Avery Maxwell, MSW, RSW, Family Support Coordinator at Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre, as she shares practical tools and compassionate strategies for helping young people navigate grief. Avery specializes in supporting children and families through the diagnosis or death of a loved one, using play and art therapy to foster understanding and healing.
