Fund Development & Communications Lead -

1 Year Contract

 

Overview of Position

The Fund Development and Communication Lead is responsible for supporting organizational fundraising initiatives and goals, operational objectives and strategic goals, quality improvement, risk assessment, accreditation support, and compliance.  This position also provides oversight to all aspects of marketing for the organization, including print materials, websites and social media.  This role must provide support that embodies critical thinking and proactive problem solving, intuition, time management and collaboration skills.

The Communications and Fund Development Lead:

Liaise with the leadership team to implement Operational Plan and Strategic goal alignment

Supervise and oversee delegation and progress of the fund development plan, provide constructive feedback and input, reporting progress to leadership team

Oversee the fund development processes and programs to ensure excellence and accountability

Oversee all donor stewardship and compliance, including deposits, receipting and reports

Oversee all aspects of event coordination

Oversee the design and development of all marketing for the organization, including print materials, website and social media

Develop and maintain a brand standards guide for Oak Ridges Hospice and any other brands it owns.

Oversee and provide support for the application and adherence to Oak Ridges Hospice brand standards in all resource and marketing materials

Oversee the website including back-end access and updating as needed

Oversee and manage social media posting, including managing a database of photographs relevant to the hospice

Facilitate clear communication with the fund development & communications team

Communicate effectively with all donors, clients, families, volunteers, peers, health care professionals and community partners

Oversee special projects

Work with fund development team to establish annual operational plans and budget recommendations for submission to Executive Director, with quarterly review to manage cost and ensure targets

Formulate, review and revise policies and procedures through implementation, including accreditation support

Manage procurement, material and resource allocation

Coordinate the integration of administrative expertise to ensure efficiency in support and stewardship to all donors

Establish, monitor and report on metrics for fund development

Ensure legal and legislative compliance 

 

This position is:

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week, with weeknight and weekend flexibility as necessary.

  • Located in Port Perry, Ontario

  • $39.48 - $41.96 per hour, plus 5% in lieu of benefits stipend

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in fund raising and resource development

  • CFRE designation

  • Models the values of the organization

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and time management skills

  • Skill in decision-making, problem-solving, delegating, and business principles

  • Knowledge and expertise in social media platforms and website

  • Knowledge in design and development of marketing and promotional materials 

  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics

  • B.A. or equivelent preferred
